2014 National Meet
2014 National Meet
Oct 31 - Nov 2 Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Hosted by the Ozarks Rollers Chapter
2014 VCOA National Meet is set for Oct 31-Nov 2 in the Ozark Mountains. We’re really excited to have the Ozark Rollers Chapter host the meet in Eureka Springs Arkansas (called the little Switzerland of the Ozarks). It’s listed on page 392 of “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” as the “Victorian Village in the Mountains”. Excerpts from the book describe this little gem, built into the side of the Ozarks, as a “tiny village with a charming collection of Victorian architecture and hibbledy-piggledy streets snaking past cliff-clinging homes, confounding new visitors”. “It is the only city in the country whose entire downtown area is on the National Register of Historic Places with no traffic light to be found. With a population of 2,000, tucked away in the NW corner of Arkansas, it’s surrounded by miles of lakes, rivers, and packed with small shops, galleries, B&Bs, and hotels”

Annual National Meets
Each year, the VCOA Board of Directors along with a Host Chapter organize a multi-day National Meet. Held at various locations nation wide, these meets allow members from all regions to participate. National Meets have been held from New Hampshire to Florida, New Jersey to Michigan and Kansas to California. Meets usually begin on Friday as members arrive throughout the day for an evening reception, Saturday events often include a car show, technical forums, driving activities, and non-automotive activities for the family. Saturday evening concludes with a banquet, awards ceremony and keynote guest speaker.
Sunday features another interesting and often unusual event prior to the conclusion of the meet. Attendees have toured automotive collections, restoration shops, local attractions, museums and many other sites that one would not otherwise have the opportunity to explore. Again a club offering its members something they can't find or do online or anywhere else.
